Former Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo is set to hold a closed-door meeting with Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni and Jubbaland President Ahmed Mohamed Islam (Ahmed Madobe), sources have confirmed.
The privately arranged talks are expected to take place in Mogadishu and come shortly after Farmaajo’s recent return to the country following visits to Turkey and Eritrea, where he met with politicians, senior business figures, and other officials.
According to reliable sources, the three leaders will focus their discussions on Somalia’s electoral process, the ongoing constitutional review, and other key political issues shaping the country’s future.
The meeting is also believed to be part of wider efforts to bridge differences over the electoral framework and to address tensions in relations between the federal government and the federal member states.
No official statement has yet been issued by the parties involved. However, multiple sources say the talks could have a significant impact on Somalia’s political trajectory.
