The Federal Government of Somalia has strongly condemned a terrorist attack that took place at a mosque in Pakistan, which resulted in the deaths of more than 30 people and left many others injured.
In an official statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the attack was described as a blatant violation of human values, the principles of Islam, and international peace, noting that it deliberately targeted innocent civilians gathered at a place of worship.
The Somali government extended its deepest condolences to the government and people of Pakistan, particularly to the families affected by the tragedy, while praying for God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives and for the swift recovery of the injured.
The Federal Government of Somalia also reiterated its firm stance against all forms of terrorism and emphasized the importance of a unified international effort to combat extremist groups spreading violence across the world.
Finally, Somalia expressed its full solidarity with Pakistan and called for ensuring that all those responsible for this brutal attack are brought to justice.
